Comments on the Video

I am definitely am not a shoe hoarder! I am not even close, but I appreciate the video tours of other people's amazing closets. A lot of her shoes are a little over the top for me, but I love the white peep-toe with the diamonds on the toe. I know they are probably super expensive and glittery, but I think they are classy. Let me know what you think in the comments below and don't forget to check out the other episodes of shoe hoarders.

Special Occasions

Silver shoes are great for a lot of special occasions. They can polish off an outfit with a sense of sophistication and add sparkle. I wore these shoes to a graduation and a wedding this year and thoroughly enjoyed them. My favorite feature is, of course, the row of tear-drop diamonds down the center strap. Since they are sandals, I use them mostly in the summer but paired with the right dress they could work for pretty much any occasion. They were not exceedingly expensive and fairly comfortable. Feel free to leave a comment about your favorite pair of metallic shoes. :)

Hit and Miss

It's always a hit and miss when I shop at Tjmax. I live in a town where the store is picked over sometimes, but I can still find good deals once in a while. The last time I went shopping at tjmax, I was specifically looking for a pair of black pumps. I found a style of pumps I liked, but they didn't come in black. The top picture is the shoe in the bronze metallic color I tried on. The shoes were very reasonably priced and comfortable, just not the color I wanted.  The other two pictures are of another pair of shoes I thought were funny looking. Although, when I showed them to my friend she actually liked them. Again, an example of differences in shoe styles and personal preference. I would love to hear what you thought of the two different pictures above. Feel free to comment!

Boots: You Gotta Love Them

My favorite part of fall is getting to pull out my boots and wear them till the crocuses appear. I like pairing jeans and warm boots with a stylish jacket and cute scarf. Boots are also a good way to spice up a boring old school uniform. As always, boots can say something about your sense of style and priorities. I found these boots a few weeks ago and liked them for several reasons. I was looking for a pair that was simple and practical for school, but fun for the weekends and fall events. I liked the fact that they were dark brown so they didn't stain, and had good tread so I didn't slip running from class to class. I said this before, but not everyone has the same taste in shoes. Certain qualities can apply to all boots, though. When I tried on the boots, I checked to see if they were comfortable first of all, then I decided how much I would use them. Since, I decided I could possible use them everyday, and they were comfortable, I bought them. If you are looking to buy a pair of fall boots see if they are comfortable and how much you will use them. You could find yourself an amazing pair of boots and have happy feet all fall, or you could go crazy and get several!! Don't forget to leave a comment! :)

Not For Everyone

These shoes are..... sparkly! The other day I was again trying on shoes for the fun of it and found these. The sales person came over and was chatting with me about them and commented that so far, no one had bought them. I was curious why no one had bought them, so I started analyzing the pair. They are not particularly my style, but I figured they should appeal to some people. The first thing I noticed was the color. They are a 5 in. peep-toe wedge covered in magenta, electric blue, and black sparkles. The colors are cute, but hard to match with an outfit, though they would look great with a little black dress. Comfort wise, they were not slippers, but wouldn't cripple you after wearing it once. Pain is beauty.
They have a good balance of  sparkle to shoe and are tastefully done. I'm not used to wearing 5 in. heels, so they were hard to walk in for me, but for seasoned heel walkers would be no problem. I think they are a style for someone who likes to party and is not afraid to be loud and fun. They are not my style, but cute and sparkly none the less!

Love at First Sight

Its not very often you try on a pair of shoes and decide you must have them, because not all shoes are cute and comfortable. If they are, you usually have to pay a pretty penny because they are. This summer while I was on vacation, I went shoe shopping with my cousin. In one of the stores we went to, we tried on some shoes just for fun. She grabbed a sparkly purple pair (the last picture) and I grabbed a silver pair. We were not planning on buying the shoes, but when I put my pair on I loved them. They were surprisingly comfortable and reasonably priced. They were a perfect blend of bling to shoe and more classy than sassy. I didn't know when I would get a chance to wear them, but I couldn't leave the store without them. I believe these shoes portray a feminine but fun side of me and should be used for a special occasion. I still have not worn them, but plan to soon! :)

My Style

Hey, World Wide Web!! My name is Denae, and this is my first time ever blogging. If you haven't guessed already, this blog is going to be all about shoes and shoe styles. Since I am going to be talking about personal tastes, let me share with you my own personal style to start things off. I like shoes that are simple but elegant, and fun but conservative. I'm not afraid of bling, but I do believe there is such a thing as too much bling. I also believe shoes are a way of expressing your character and personality, which is why I also believe people should shoe shop accordingly. In the following posts I will offer shoe shopping tips and give my opinion of what statements different shoes make. Feel free to post any questions or comments you may have, and I will try to answer them.
